Photographer’s Note

Lido di Ostia is the seaside resort where Romans flee to when summer temperatures escalate in the city. In March things are very quiet. The beaches are deserted and most apartment buildings also. This building on a corner of the main boulevard of Lido di Ostia echoes this desertedness. It has the slightly dilapidated look of many seaside resorts off season. Peeling plaster, rusted railings. But the most dominant feature of this angular building is it’s will to hug the sun and be able to do that from every angle on every moment of the day.
Tech: skewed, cropped, saturated and sharpened.
