Sunset in Sistiana II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another view captured during the same lucky evening in Sistiana harbour.

"Sistiana" name comes from latin "Sixtilianum". The harbor was an ancient site od dwelling, perhaps one of the oldest in Trieste area.
It is also an ancient touristic place, as well as Grado.

Hello Livia,
Despite the cloudy sky and the black sea, the light is perfect on the foreground, thanks to the beam of light that we can guess from above. The reflection of the sun on the sea as well as that thin strip of yellow sky breaking through the bank of clouds really light up the image. The depth of field is perfect, the light management and the composition are excellent. You realized a great shot.

Honestly, when this picture loaded onto my screen, I let out a sign and said 'my god'. It's absolutely beautiful. If you've got a sec, I'd love if you could tell me how you captured those clouds! Mine always turn out either way too bright, or too dark to see the definition of the clouds.

perfino meglio della precedente, con quelle stelline di riflesso sul mare. Il filtro Efex avra' anche aiutato, ma devi aver beccato una situazione di luce davvero particolare. Complimentissimi, Dario.

Oh ma sei impazzita? Ma una foto cosi' bagna il naso a tutti gli espertoni di questo sito,mamma mia che meraviglia!!! Non aggiungo altro,spettacolare! p.s ma mi sbaglio o ieri sera avevi postato una cosa orrenda che poi ti sei affrettata a riritare? presentava lo stesso difetto di stacco tra terra e cielo che avevo visto in alcune foto della Danimarca...e ancora non capisco cosa ti succede in quei frangenti visto che poi tiri fuori dei colpi di genio come questi! Buon Giovedi'...e se durante la pulizia della cantina hai trovato qualcosa di interessante....postalo..eheh..

eccellente qualità fotografica, con una luce fantastica ed una definizione difficile da ottenere in controsole. Piacevolissima la composizione della fotografia, con gli alberi e le manovre delle barche a far da contrasto ad un cielo stupendamente drammatico. Gran bella fotografia, sinceri complimenti!

Wonderful picture with magnificent colors and management of light!
The pov and the composition are excellent: I love the way you placed those boats, the sun shining up the sky and on the water surface! Those clouds are also a highlight in this image!

questa e' una foto che potrebbe benissimo essere stata scattata qui in Olanda, tanto per il soggetto (le barche, il mare) quanto per la luce (squarci di luce tra nubi basse, spesse e dense)...
la tua composizione coniuga entrambi con molta abilita', e il risultato e' un'immagine molto accattivante, ricca di dettagli interessanti, che si fa guardare e riguardare.
