My friend Giorgia (Gioy http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Italy/Friuli-Venezia_Giulia/Trieste/photo69549.htm) already told you about the Alpine Troops jamboree held in Trieste on last May. This is one of the hundreds of pictures I took on these days. It was just a second: the trombone was full of reflections, with the proper angle. Fortunately, the camera was already on: it was so crowded that there was no time for setting anything.
The picture was taken in Piazza Unità, right in front of the town hall. You can see me on the picture too, guess where...

"optica" indeed :-)
(you didn't mention you rotated the photo !)
Although this kind of photography (taking advantage of the horns glow) is often used, it gives a surprising result.
The many "portraits" hidden in there, the architecture, and the rich glow of the horn... very good shot !
(and you could say you're in the picture... at least twice ;-))
