Cold water in hot summer: this is the Timavo.
Its water plunge into the Scocjanske Jame, reappear in a "karst window" in the abyss of Trebiciano and re-emerges at the mouth of San Giovanni di Duino.
The waters of Timavo have been found to flow in the vicinity of Monrupino, at a depth of 270m...fascinating karstic nature!
