Photographer’s Note

Still continuing in my study of the old lady eating in a village festival, I noticed that she was a widow, since she had two rings in her left hand.

Here I tried to manage lights PP a little better, looking at the WS I got in my last post.

Ho cercato di lavorare meglio questa immagine in PP, tenendo anche conto dei suggerimenti ricevuti con un WS.

ma che bel ritratto! non riesco a decifrare se ha uno sguardo inquietante (tipo quelli dei vizi personificati di Rubens) o è una cara e simpatica vecchietta, sul quale viso vedo una vita di duro lavoro.

Much better PP. Did she know you were photographing her? I always wonder this and sometimes it makes me reticent in public.

Here the woman's expression makes it seem as though she has just witnessed something that made her gasp with her hand over her mouth.

Very nice. Do you have any photos of her that are not so closely cropped? I would like to see one with head & shoulders perhaps.
