Photographer’s Note

Grado (the city ad Aquas Gradatas, Gravo in the local Venetian dialect, Grau in Friulian, Gradež in Slovenian) is a town in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located on a peninsula of the Adriatic Sea between Venice and Trieste. Grado has an area of 114km2, and a population of 8,691.
Once mainly a fishing center, today it is a popular tourist destination, known commonly as L'Isola del Sole ("The Sunny Island").

Very good composition. Good colours, sharpness and lighting in this picture.
Grado I can see is a good place to relax and enjoy the sun. Nice job.

Hi Patricia,
This composition is well-chosen but the horizon line desperetely needs levelling.
It is interesting how the sea attracts people for sunbathing and swimming even if the place is protected with big rocks like here. I can only imagine big waves in the winter at this spot.
I did WS to level the horizon line and hope you'll like it.

Hi Patricia,

I love your composition. The sunbathers and the people walking, the blue water and clear sky plus the boats from afar makes me feel like going there. The horizon is a bit tilted as Vedrana observed, but it still is a great picture. TFS

I like very much your compo which has good perspective and good natural colours. People have already mentioned the horizon.

Ciao Patricia,
the WS is good for rotation but I prefer the original version because is a little more 'natural' and sea+sky tones are more 'real'.
Thank you very much for capturing this location. I was in Grado when I was a child, for many years, during summer holidays... I can remember very well the platform built on pier...and my father words 'Don't climb on it !!'.
