Photographer’s Note
This is Leopold's Gate (1660 AD), one of the entrances to the Castle of Gorizia.
The town of Gorizia was an important crossroads point since one thousand years ago and, even with its importance now pushed into the past, "Mitteleuropa" is the general feeling of the town, now on the very border with Slovenia.
This gate, in particular, proudly shows its double headed eagle, the unmistakable symbol of the past austrian rule of these territories.
There were many things that prevented getting proper view of this gate, so I manually removed them (copy/paste).

Hi Vlad, I like your note and I think the photo could have shown more of the gate itself. You did a good job removing whatever was obstructing the view, but it would have been nice to see the gate nearer in the foreground, to better appreciate its details (e.g. the double-headed eagle).
