Hello Stefano,

First, I love the photograph. The colors, the timing — with the contrail of a jet in the frame with the hot air balloon — a fabulous combination. Second, I see from your Intro page that you are a physicist in Bologna, the site of the oldest European University. I am a professor of physics, but also an artist. But in the present context, I am the author of 'Math and the Mona Lisa: the Art and Science of Leonardo.' (Smithsonian Books, 2004). If I had seen this photograph I would have recommended it to my present publisher, National Geographic Books. I had one photograph of my own that conjoined the flight of birds with the contrail of a jet plane, but the quality was not good enough to make the book. If you have a chance, take a look at Leonardo's Dream. Congratulations on your superb shot of the hot air balloon and the airplane overhead.

a good composition with great contrast between modern and old kind of transportation.It`s a very good exposure with great sharpness,colors and contrast.I like it a lot.

bellissima foto, complimenti!
I colori sono talmente saturi e i dettagli così nitidi che sarebbe stata formidabile anche senza la scia dell'aereo che taglia in diagonale l'inquadratura e si appresta ad uscire dalla scena.
Beh, come dicevano i nostri avi: ad maiora!

Ciao Stefano! The jet really makes the photo! Excellent composition and perfect timing; I see you're a fast shooter :-) Colours are rich and saturated, but it seems that part of the red is a bit burnt.

Un'altra incredibile foto sui palloni!
Come hai fatto ad avere l'aereo in quella posizione Dio solo lo sa! E' una composizione perfetta: soggetto sulla destra e sviluppo sulla sinistra, e il tutto in diagonale!
Bellissimi colori e definizione completano il quadro. Quel giorno a Carpineti ti devi essere divertito un mondo!
