Comacchio and its Valleys represent the "heart" of Delta, they really are Adriatic Coast's green lung, from Chioggia to Cattolica. Comacchio Valleys are a real museum and respresent one of the most important lagoon complex existing all around the Italy and Europe. They extend in the Ferrara province and partially in Ravenna's one, for more than 11.000 ha, between Comacchio and the Reno River, and they are linked by Magnavacca, Logonovo Bellocchio and Gobbino channels. Formed by highly saltiness brackisch water, they represent an important zone and brackish water biotope, constituted by an extremely alophile vegetation and are of declared international interest, as we can see from the Ramsar convention of 1971.
Around the Valleys has been based and developed the historical and economical growth of Comacchio's territory; it is a quite unique example of integration between natural ambient and man activity, where salt production and fishing have always represented the primary economical bases, with that the local handmaking was mostly connected, because agriculture and tourism were quite absent. These last economic components have developed quite in the same time with the proceeding of the reclamation works, the draining of thousands of valley ha, with no change for that part where still today inhabitants play the local eel fishing using special trap cages, called "lavorieri".

I didn't know about the anniversary. Wow, 10 years is quite some time!

This picture is a pleasure to look at, because of the perfect circle of arch and reflection. I like the circle in circle effect that this creates. A minus would be the heavy light resulting in a lack of textures on the bricks. In other circumstances the perfect pov might have resulted in an even better picture!

What a lovely idea to add a link to Adam's very first picture on TE! And what a fine way to celebrate TE's 10th anniversary!

Once again you have provided a very interesting note and an excellent photograph to illustrate it. The two arches of the bridges almost hint at the number "10" too!

A lovely picture with fine colours, perfect exposure and lovely reflections of a white building.

come' e' bello questo grafismo che combina affascinatamente realta' e fantasia. La geometria, il ritmo ed i contrasti impiegati somo magnifici. Hai inquadrato la tua intrigatissima scoperta e composizione in modo molto preciso ed elegante. Oltre che il grafismo, la luce, i colori e le tessiture sono resi benissimo e la foto e' tanto gradevole a guardare ed esplorare. Complimenti e grazie!

Wao ! The geometry in architecture and nature is enhanced by beautiful artistic photography. The 'eye' of the photographer and his sensibilities and visualisation finds expression in such photographs.
The angles created by the reflections and the play of light and shade combines together to produce such an effect. The clarity, saturation and vividness of the photograph is outstanding for without it the visual appeal would have been not as effective.

I have to say that i prefer the new look of TE compared to the old and first look.

love your shot, lots of doubling arches, lots of half circles circling eachother to create a unique scene. same with the light and shadow combinations.

Il tema di ponti intrecciando con sui riflessi, era una buonissima idea per celebrare l'annivesario di TE.
Ottima opera fotografica che ci mostra la bellezza d'una città italiana, mentre insinuando il sìmbolo della communicazione fra la gente.
