Photographer’s Note

An image from a quick stop in Parma on my way to San Marino last year, the city is not the most spectacular of Italy but has a nice maze of narrow streets with lively cafes and restaurants, and of course the famous ham !
Here you see one of the main squares where this pedestrian area crosses a big avenue.

Hello Jean-Yves,
An atmospheric night time composition with the streaks from the vehicle lights with good animation from the people scattered about. Good point of view offering an interesting ensemble of architecture. Perfectly exposed to capture the blue hour at its best.

Pas des plus extraordinaires dans l'architecture peut être... mais pour ce qui est du ciel, là c'est le pompon!
Du pré-black, à la blue, et pour finir dans le fond un semblant de pink. Quand les éléments s'en mèlent, tu sais où te trouver!
Je note les petits pavés noirs sur la route, les lumineuses lumières (hum...) et la note sur le jambon!

Une superbe photo a l'heure bleue! Tu es LE spécialiste TE de l'heure bleue, clairement!
Les lumières étoilées sont bien vues également.

Ton emplacement est bien choisi pour donner une bonne profondeur au cadrage, ca le fait.

did you teach Didier or was it the other way round ? The wires are a bit distracting, but the dark blue is amazing, my favorite colour, I´m sure..

JY,
This is a beautiful blue hour shot! Your composition is great using the street to lead the eye through the scene. The blending of natural and artificial lighting is great here giving us some outstanding colors. It may have been you POV but the shot seems to lean to the right a little.
Just a minor detail but this shot is great.

Bonjour, Jean-Yves. Tiens, une heure bleue. Les bâtiments sont bien éclairés et se détachent sur le ciel. La bordure du trottoir nous conduit bien dans l'image où l'on tombe sur des Italiens en pleins discussion. Dis, tu as pris des risques. Ton trépied devait se trouver sur la route d'après ce que je vois...

c'est bien de nous montrer une photo de cette ville du compromis, fais juste gaffe à la compote, c'est pas bon pour le dos!
Pff, se fait tard, je dis n'importe quoi...

Classique heure bleue, j'aime bien la courbe des poteaux sur la droite et les trainées lumineuses
