Photographer’s Note

La piazza del Municipio (ancienne cour du Palais ducale de la famille d’Este) est une de mes places préférées de Ferrare. Elle est juste à côté de la place de la cathédrale.
Le ravissant escalier couvert avec sa coupole médiane fut construit par l’architecte Pietro Benvenuti en 1481. Les colonnes en marbre blanc sont très fines et élégantes. J’aime la couleur orangée des murs. Au coucher du soleil, comme ici, les couleurs sont très contrastées. Il y a toujours beaucoup d’animation avec les piétons et les vélos.

The piazza del municipio (the ancient court of the Palace ducale of the Este family) is one of my favorite places of Ferrare. It is just next to the square of the cathedral.
The charming staircase covered with its median dome was built by the architect Pietro Benvenuti in 1481. The white marble columns are very fine and elegant. I like the orangy color of walls. At sunset, as here, colors are very contrasted. There is always a lot of animation with the pedestrians and the cycles.

Très jolie photo de cet escalier original avec de belles couleurs et un bon contraste. J'aime bien les arches avec leur ombre.

Bonsoir Diane,
Une belle photo avec de belles couleurs. La teinte chaude du batiment contraste bien avec ce beau ciel bleu. L'escalier blanc et le toit de la permière facade créé un bel effet visuel qui va bien avec ton liseret de cadre.

La composition est bonne, puisqu'elejiste l'escalier comme point central de de cette dernière et celui-là se été bien placée. Les couleurs sont bien définies et ont donné un grand contraste à la vue. Bon travail. À Bientôt, Consuelo.

Beautiful urban sight, well populated by pedestrians and bikers. I like the chromatic combination of the orange and the blue.
The sky however is a little noisy.

Hej Diane,
A very nice view of this square. I like the silhouettes of the people in the shadow in the foreground, who in this way stand out nicely against the warm colours of the building. The architecture looks nice too and the light is pleasant. Well done!

Une belle composition avec cette escalier blanc qui traverse l'image en diagonale. Le contraste ombre et lumière est aussi assez esthétique.

Hola Diane,
has usado un buen encuadre en esta composición, que es muy rica en elementos y tiene un excelente grafismo por la arquitectura que vemos en ella.
Hay un buen juego de la luz con las sombras, una buena geometría creada por la escalera cubierta que se destaca sobre las fachadas de los edificios, un buen dinamismo aportado por la gente, y un ambiente muy bien captado.
Es una buena foto, bien realizada.

bel endroit avec ombres et lumière, le cadrage est très bien vu, belles couleurs, avec ces gens... c'est marrant, je remarque que ceux qui sont dans l'ombre vont vers la lumière et ceux qui sont dans la lumière vont dans l'ombre...
