The symbol of Bologna, the 2 highest surviving towers, in the city center, were built as a symbol of power by the wealthy families in the Middle Ages.
If the day is hazy, you get this electric blue sky after sunset. The painter De Chirico defined it "metaphysical blue".

I really like the colors of both the towers and the sky, but the powerlines (or whatever they are) in the foregroud are a bit distracting. If not possible to stand in a place where they are not in the way, you could perhaps clone them out in PS.

Nice picture of a nice city... I do not agree with the critique who say that the powerlines are distracting. For me they DO the picture. It must be for the Tramway, I guess?

Beautiful photo and very useful note. I'll be visiting Emilia-Romagna later this month. Conto i giorni!!!

Nice shot the the towers in Blogna, however it is slightly blurry, using a tripod would have stopped this. Good shot though
