A view of the entrance hall of a museum in the university district of Bologna. I am afraid I do not know the name of the museum but I believe it is attached to the University of Bologna.
Bologna is the largest city and capital of Emilia-Romagna Region in Northern Italy. It is the seventh most populous city in Italy, located in the heart of a metropolitan area officially recognized by the Italian government as a città metropolitana of about one million.
The city, the first settlements of which date back to at least 1000 BC, has always been an important urban centre, first under the Etruscans (Velzna/Felsina) and the Celts (Bona), then under the Romans (Bononia), then again in the Middle Ages, as a free municipality. For one century it was the fifth largest European city based on population.
Home to the oldest university in the world, University of Bologna, founded in 1088, Bologna hosts thousands of students who enrich the social and cultural life of the city. Famous for its towers and lengthy arcades, Bologna has a large well-preserved historical centre thanks to a careful restoration and conservation policy which began at the end of the 1970s on the heels of serious damage done by the urban demolition at the end of the 19th century as well as that caused by war.

splendida profondità, eccellente esposizione, con toni caldi che si uniscono bene ai colori dell'architettura.
Perfetta la presenza della donna, per creare un punto d'interesse.

I love this perspective down the long corridor, and the columns, detailed doorways and arched ceiling fading to distance makes this look so..museumy! A brilliant idea to include the woman in the shot too, it brings scale and life to the scene, and the colors are cool. I especially like the reflection of the lights on the ground in the foreground.
All the best

Ciao dear Stephen
The Bolognese really know how to do Galleries and arches, don't they? And your photo demonstrates that perfectly. Excellent light management, the reflections are attractive and the addition of the person adds a sense of dynamism to the image. Nice use of the vertical frame to accentuate the perspective.
Warmest wishes and I hope you have stuffed yourself on delicious Christmas food and beverages. I wish you and your family every happiness for 2014.

A superb photojob done indoor's the museum, Stephen.
Golden dominating tone along with the yellow/orange painted walls and archs, and taken with great camera settings - all culminate here to a fantastic picture. The lady in photo also added life to the scene, and the oval object on far end of the corridor gave fine scale.
Well done and marvelousely applied.
Have a nice holiday-weekend,

La présence de la personne a un effet d'échelle de grandeur. La longueur du corridor donne de la perspective et de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails, les couleurs des murs et du plafond. Bonne soirée.

Hi Stephen, I like the perspective and the symmetry of here in this vertical format. The lights on the ceiling, the columns and the arches are eye catching and they lead me to the depth of the far end. Fantastic POV and composition along with awesome reflection on the floor. Thank for sharing and best wishes for the year of 2014

I like very much the way you have adjusted your composition to the vertical frame, exalting the effect of the repeating patterns, of the perspective and the depth. We get a very vivid and pleasant impression of this long corridor and it's like we could take a step into the frame. There's excellent definition all along and you have obtained a lovely palette of warm tones. The architecture, the lighting and the atmosphere make this setting calm and pleasant. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
