This is a country fair band playing in the town of Bazzano, near Bologna.
I decided to post this picture as recently I am experimenting (and having fun with) the use of wide angle lens in photos of daily life scenes and of people. I think it is a fantastic lens to get into the scene, and really convey the atmosphere of what was going on.
I have learned this technique (or at least I am trying to learn) watching the images of photographers who work for National Geographic, as well as the images of the World Press Awards winners. Contrary to what one might think, most of the reportage images, most of the scenes involving people and their activities are taken with wide angles, sometimes extreme wide angles.
I am experimenting new povs, and I think the image taken from below is one of the most effective to
really blast into the scene.
Most of the images that I make are good for the thrash bin only, but occasionaly something decent comes out.

nicely taken shot from the low sight with the man in yellow suit placed nicely in between other members of the band. Though the band has same colored dress, the thing that drags the eye is their shoes which is really contrasting the dull color of the floor. Nice moment caught. Have a wonderful week,

I like the way you intend to test new techniques in order to get uncommon pictures. This one, with the low POV and the great DOF is a good example. It's like being a dog watching the street scene. moreover, the gesture of the man is full of dynamism. So, all my congratulations

Nice color contrast & sharpness with good DOF Controlled...

complimenti e buona settimana

Original point of view. Interesting framing of the musical conductor (or else?). Those shoes, brightly coloured and all the same, are a strong point. I even think the photo would not work as well without them. Good shot.

A really great and eye-catching photo, with your very original point of view. I liked what you said about wide angle lenses. You have a wonderful depth of field here, with virtually all in focus. Great stuff! Warm regards,

Hi stefano. Truly an original photo. The viewing angle is surprising. Anyway, the photo is worth seeing. Well seen and presented. Rgds, Wolfgang.

Its inspiring to read your note.
We should ALL take your point of view, take your idea and challenge ourselves with our cameras..to step out of our comfort zone and try something new - even though we may fail at first..but like you said, sometimes a winner comes out.
In this scene, you take a very common scene that occurs in the square, and turned it into a visual delight.
great use of the lens and the people around you.

Always hard to photograph these street performances, but you've managed to do a great job here with a unique angle.
