Photographer's Note

One of three commemorative arches found in the forum of Pompeii: this one is the so-called Arch of Tiberius, added in 16 AD to commemorate a victory over the Germans. It stands at the entrance of the forum, just across from the macellum. The Arch of Caligula is located a short distance further north.
