Photographer’s Note

I wished I was in Italy today. So whilst this is not possible, looking at my holiday photos of Italy helps a little. So here is a photo I took when wandering one of the beaches of Ischia, an island off the Amalfi Coast, near the isles of Capri and Procida.

Hello You,
I wish I was in Italy too.
At least every time I go to mow the lawn it starts raining, some consolation I guess.
Close but no cigar, it's just all to vertical and certainly a big ladies blouse with regard to colour saturation.

Hello Lisa,
Visiting Italy is my wish too since I have never even set my foot on Europe. What's our nice friend up to these days after his sailing trip? He does not realise how much we missed his photos and critiques. One day, we will organise a TE meeting at his door step.

A good detailed close up shot of this boat which boast all its colours in mid summer. The second boat gives us the much needed sense of depth on this foggy day. I have toned down the brightness of the water surface in the WS, hope its ok. I know you could have done it yourself.

AH I am jealous sounds like you had a great summer vacation. I also like the brightness of the water towards ther back as it blends with the sky. Perfect composition and POV. That boat is perfectly in focus and great colours and adds to the overall mood of the photo.

Good fg sharpness, & impeccable use of a shallow dof. Excellent colour, & nice blue skylight reflections in the water. Superb symmetry between the 2 boats. Tfs, & have a great weekend!

A very attractive composition of this little boat drawn up upon the beach with the other one in the background as a bonus. Pleasing soft light and colours. Good use of the depth of field.

capita anche a me di guardare alcune foto dell'estate appena trascorsa e di desiderare di essere ancora li.
Mi piace qui la barca ormeggiata in primo piano con il piccolo fish boat che si allontana, dando dinamicità alla scena.
La foto però manca di sharp sul mare. Ho fatto un WS dove ho cercato di recuperare un pò.
Spero sia di tuo gradimento.
Ti auguro un buon week end e non essere triste se non sei in Italia.
L'italia è sempre qui, non si muove. Sicuramente avrai altre occasioni per visitarla.
Io solitamente quando vado in un luogo lontano, porto con me parte di quella terra.
Una pietra o della sabbia. Non sò se tu fai queste cose, ma credo rafforzano il ricordo di quel luogo.

Great POV, it take us right up to the boat, actually I feel like I was just walking along side it and you just push me right in front of the boat, I had no choice but to get on. Not a bad idea though. Well it is spring time for you down under so it is time to go out and enjoy your spring, though this one is taken in Italy. Beautiful colors, well manage light, very cheerful and pleasant feeling I get from this image. Thanks.
