Photographer's Note

A lovely, smiling fruit vendor ("fruttivendolo" in Italian, "fruttaiulo" in Napoletan dialect). I couldn't resist stopping at his fruit cart along the coast road near Positano. Get a load of the lemons he's selling. This region is famous for its oranges and lemons, the lemons are so good, you can eat them with a knife and fork. Needless to say I bought a kilo of them, and a string of the garlic and chillies. I later cooked a meal with lemon-infused pasta, vongole, white wine, garlic, parsley and lemon. Che bontá.
