Photographer’s Note

The town Atrani is located just 700 meters away from the famous Amalfi. Atrani was founded by the ancient Roman aristocracy, and became the wealthy residence of the most powerful families of Amalfi. Unfortunately, the town suffered when Ruggero II, and the Normanni domination began. This was only furthered with the Pisani invasion in 1337, which deprived the entire Amalfi Coast of its independence, and political power.
Atrani, today, maintains it's distinct fishermen's town atmosphere. The main entrance to the town starts from the beach, and from there, the traditional houses climb up the steep mountain valley, intertwined with gardens, and vibrant lemon terraces.
With 0.20 km², Atrani is the second-smallest comune in Italy (after Fiera di Primiero), and the smallest comune in Southern Italy.

Hi Mirari, I find this place very attractive, especially the colors they use, the blue railings, red arches and the colorful roofs. The perspective of the shot is very effective somehow in showing the depth and the mountain backdrop. Thank you for sharing...Alex

Good pov to show a corner full with colourful local architectures, completed to show the resident quarter on the slope with include bottom wall, peaceful atmosphere, good sharpness, well done.

Hello Mirari!
Italy has landscapes and cityscapes that are all very photofriendly!
This should make photographing a piece of cake for any photographer... but, it isn't!
One's got to have the eye to capture such a beauty, unseen by others, and share it with us all here at TE!
That's THE composition! THE right pov!
We also have nice colors and excellent sharpness!

Yo hice un pequeño recorrido por la costa amalfitana, desde Amalfi hasta Sorrento y me encantó. Este pueblo no lo vi, y es precioso.
