Photographer's Note

Still the same rainy day in Naples/Neapel/Napoli.
Still the Via Tribunali.

If you start from the Piazza Dante, walk through Pont'Alba - an old gate - you arrive in the Via Tribunali. Right at the beginning, you can find a lot of bookstores, all kind of, for young and old, any directions and styles. One of them was something really special, not only because of the show-window - the photo is about - that hanged outside on the wall. But inside! I spent more than an hour in this wonderful, little place, couldn't get enough. Tried to get a good shot from outside, but I guess I didn't succeed - take a look to the WS, just for have an impression, feel the atmospher.

So on the left, but mostly on the right from Via Tribunali, there are still olden professions that have survived into this modern 21st century: an entire quarter in the heart of Naples, for example, is given over to the craft of the goldsmith; there are still the world-famous handwrought nativity tableaus with their figurine shepherds; old craftsmen still sell handmade chairs from the backs of carts that they push through the streets; and you can still hear the clanging hammer of the blacksmith. There is even an artisan who gives new life to old and damaged dolls in his workshop, appropriately called The Doll Hospital.

Sorry, I couldn't erase my hands holding the camera... Do I really want it?
