a recreational club in a street of Sorrento, what is a recreational club? is a place where people meet after a day of work to get a card game, a chat or a drink, the prices are modest, I found this place fascinating, with its old chairs and old tables, it seemed that the time had stopped 30 years ago

did you buy new camera-Canon G12?
I think it´s something like Social Club for older people.I´ve seen also something like this in Cologne in Italian and Turkish neighbourhood.
Fine image with excellent sharpness and colors.
Looks very "atmospheric".Just one thing-sad there´s no people in the frame, who could animate the whole scene and bring life into it.Unfortunately we can´t have everything, maybe you were just too early there. But it doesn´t change the fact, that the place has its own charm.Well done!
Have a nice day

What a charming image and place. You would not find such a relaxing place with such spectacular artwork on the walls in the UK!
Great composition with the chairs at the edge leading the eye to the centre and the doorway.

Beautiful exposure and saturation of colours.
The fresco on the big wall .. do they get repainted from time to time ? The peeling plaster and the fading paint has been wonderfully taken.
There is depth in the colour of the cane tables and chairs layed out... though the group of furniture on the left has a different colour from the group in the right, and it is not just because of the shadow. The vacant space in the centre is appropriate as it gives the photograph a balance. Moreover the vacant red floor also takes our attention through the half opend door to the half-bust on a pedastal inside. This is really good.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful photograph.

This picture has a rustic old world charm taste about it and the image treatment suits this pretty well. But I love the three dimensional feel to the faded mural as it has boosted the depth in great colors and it's also fascinating that, this been painted with gorgeous mural-art work such as this. Excellent perspective and orientation with a little something else on the fg to convey the scale and reality, but lovely feel of yesteryear it reflects. Its a masterful piece of work and so is your image. You certainly succeeded in giving both a sense of place making it a nice photographic impact. Wonderful shot and informative notes. Congrats

Yes, the time seems to have stopped long ago in an entirely different society. For a Swede who has grown up in a Social Democratic country, seeing a place like this refered to as a Workers' Association is very very strange. Sweden had almost nothing in common with the states of eastern Europe, but no workers' association would meet in something that looked like a renaissance palace or a converted cathedral. It's a very interesting and peculiar photo, quite fascinating.
