I dedicate this picture to Lisa (delpeoples) hoping that his nostalgia is transformed as soon as possible in a real journey in our beautiful Italy.
We are in the extreme tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula, and Mount Vesuvius in the background we see almost the entire Gulf of Naples. A beautiful day in the company of our friend Rino (rhinos59)

What a beautiful view of the Vesuvio ! I like how you've composed the picture , with a large part for the blue sea , and teh beautiful coastline on the right . the little clouds around teh volcano are superb .

An amazingly beautiful view from a perfect POV. The deep perspective and composition are flawless. I'm very excited with the qualilty of the tonal range, sharpness and clarity of this shot. The transition of blue tones starting from the bottom of the frame up to the horizon is really exciting. And the coluds around the majestic Vesuvio adds a mystical touch to the scenery. Hello Valter,
The thumbnail looked less interesting but the full picture has some very lovely qualities. It has a simple beauty with the interesting land forms and the large stretch of blue sea. I particularly enjoy the line of white clouds behing the volcano.

bellissima vista con profondit`a meravigliosa, splendida chiarezza e luce. Le nuvole sono affascinanti, fanno un effetto brillante e grafico e sembrano ballare intorno al Vezuvio. I colori naturali sono magnifici, i blu del mare, del cielo e del Vezuvio anche se si assomigliano sono ben distinti ed offrono un impressione di serenit`a, immensit`a e profondit`a incantevole. Wonderful composition with the extreme tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula,and Mount Vesuvius in the background and Gulf of Nables. I liked the blue color sea and dramatic white partial clouds over the mountains.
Excellent presentation with good perspective to get sense of strong depth. Good light management to get sharpness,clarity and saturated colors.

Ciao Valter,

A beautiful clear photograph which, I am sure, Lisa will love with many nostalgic feelings.

Such a wonderfully clear day this was - we can see Vesuvius perfectly in all its threatening beauty. It looks so peaceful now that is is difficult to imagine the death and destruction which that mountain has caused in the past.

The green headland in the foreground gives some interest and also an idea of scale and distance. Glorious colours, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness.

Non ho mai visto questo POV, ma potrei guardare al Vesuvio tutto il giorno. Una domanda: e' Pozzuoli a sinistra? :p

The compostion is great as the small portion of greenery on the headland is so vital to bring out the required contrast to the overpowering blues. Superb clarity, the touches of bright colors on the beach and the distant thin clouds are wonderful addition. A breath taking sea view indeed. Congrats.

A spectacular shot of the Italian coastline near Naples with the iconic volcano of Vesuvius in the bg at right. Wonderful blue sea that contrasts well against the rocky yellow red shoreline also at right. Impeccable sharpness & well framed & composed. Tfs!
