62 AD Earthquake
The inhabitants of Pompeii, as those of the area today, had long been used to minor quaking but on 5 February 62, there was a severe temblor which did considerable damage around the bay and particularly to Pompeii. The earthquake, which took place on the afternoon of February 5, is believed to have registered over 7.5 on the Richter scale. On that day in Pompeii there were to be two sacrifices, as it was the anniversary of Augustus being named "Father of the Nation" and also a feast day to honor the guardian spirits of the city. Chaos followed the earthquake…

This is a fine composition, and the ruins are enchanting. However I think the colors are a bit off. There is a strong red hue that I have tried to correct in a workshop. I hope you won't mind.

uma interessante imagem dessas ruínas de Pompei aqui, e gostei desse PP mais nostálgico também, com uma luz suave. Belo trabalho.
Parabéns e Abraço,

Ola Rui, Pompeii is such a fascinating place and with that moody sky, the ruins look so beautiful. Excellent contrast and colours. The vertical frame is well-used, with excellent textures and differing tones. TFS and I wish you a good day, Lisa
