Photographer’s Note

Taken at Capri's Small Harbor also called Marina Piccola, we were just arriving to this beautiful island when I took this picture, you can see part of the City of Capri. The City of Capri is the main centre of population on Capri. It is one of the most amazing places that we visited in our cruise last September, we were within hundreds of tourists visiting the island that day.

Hola Emile,

Pusimos fotos del Mediterráneo cuasi al mismo tiempo hoy. Es una vista muy encantadora, tomada de um PdV excelente, que da inmensa profundidad, y que aprovecha bien el sol fuerte (que a muchos no les gusta para fotos) para obtener unos colores estupendos.

El PP esta muy logrado, es admirable como no hay OE al mismo tiempo que hay tanto detalle en las sombras. Solo mirando com mucha atención el topo del monte se nota unas zonas estrechas muy pequeñas ligeramente más claras, pero estoy cierto de que no lo vería si no lo procurase después de ver como las sombras estan tan bien expuestas.

The small harbour seems to be fully packed (I would be surprise if not) and the pleasant light allows to see nicely the details. A bright image and vivid colors ...

Dernièrement j'ai regardée une émission sur cette ville, j'ai beaucoup aimée, et cette image du côté du port le montre bien, il y a tout plaîre, la mer, les montagnes rocheuses, la végétation, l'ambiance des couleurs ou s'ajoute merveilleusement le ciel bleu et la lumière belle du soleil, c'est une très belle image

Seeign how busy the place is Marina piccola has got way too piccola, I'd prefer to see more fishing boats but OK given the place they must leave place to yachts... Nice image with good highlights and luminous feeling.

gran foto aquí. Esta pequeña marina en tu buen encuadre nos ofrece un perfecto contraste de blancos y azules. Me gusta el paisaje urbano mezclado con los acantilados detrás, y el ambiente de final del verano, todavía con una gran luz y calidez en los colores.
La nitidez y limpieza de la imagen es muy notable.

Dear Emile,
I think that Capri is every day full of thousands tourists, it was so also when I went there. It is one of the most lovely places in Italy and in the world! And it is so little.
Perhaps it becomes better in the night, when only hotel people go around.
It is an Italy problem: our places are little, narrow street, and many many tourists visit them. I hope that foreign people will start admiring also not famous places in Italy, or less famous. I tell you that I use to have home exchange, often with American families: well, they visit Venice and after they enjoy mountains and countryside around my home, so quiet, so well maintained, whily Venice is so crowdy and expensive.

About your pic: I love to see Capry blue sky, boats, rocks! You captured a nice syntesis of this beautiful island.

Cela me rappelle un bon souvenir. C'est une visite incontournable lorsque l'on se trouve à Naples ou dans ses environs!
J'ai pris quelques photos argentiques de ce petit port mais pas aussi réussies!
De très belles couleurs accentuées par la qualité incontestable de la lumière de ce coin de la mer méditerranée!

That's a pretty attractive and truly beautiful picture!
The composition was very well elaborated and it's a real highlight in this image because all the nice and interesting elements are placed togethers so nicely! In addition to that, the photograph has excellent sharpness, exposure, depth of field, natural and wonderful colors and a well chosen pov!
I love seeing all those boats in the foreground, the architecture of the row of buildings and those mountains in the background! The bluest sky also enhanced the beauty of the image!

Yo estuve ahí todo un día con un cielo gris y lluvioso, se me hizo eterno hasta que pudimos tomar el barco de vuelta a Sorrento, pero veo que tu tuviste un día espléndido donde con sol las cosas lucen de otra manera.
Bella composición desde el puerto con estupendos colores y brillante luz.

En esta toma del Mediterraneo, has sabido sacar provecho a la fuerte iluminación, dado que la multiplicidad de colores, se aprecian de maravilla en cada elemento.

Hay mucha nitidez, brillo y una gran composición, desde un sin igual punto de vista.

I've never been to Capri but I bet it's really worth seeing with one's own eyes, not only in such picturesque photos! Who knows, maybe one day I will see it... after I reture :)
Excellent POV and time of the day - for the lighting! very well balanced composition. Needless to say that these fantastic bright southern colours make the whole scene radiate with a joyful mood, sunshine and fresh, inimitable sea air :)
