Photographer’s Note
this is on the sea near naples in a place called pineta mare near castelvolturno, the lower houses are ruins but abitated i think just occupied, the first rowe is the one fronting the sea and is the one that looks more abbandoneded than the other ones i think mainly because there aren't allewed to be there so the first houses should look like a real ruin.
in the back new houses a real no man's land, and the beach a dump, could be such a nice place if .... if ... if

I like the big sky here. I also like the hard B&W rendering of the architecture.

Ciao Emanuela,
ottimo scatto. Complimenti per la composizione ed i contrasti. Io forse avrei zoomato un pò di più sulle costruzioni, magari sacrificando un pò di cielo. Cosa ne pensi?
Nice shot. Good composition and contrasts.
One only thing: I would have zoomed more on the buildings, maybe cutting some of the upper sky. But it's only my opinion.. of course.

Hi Emanuela,
I really like the way you do your archi-urban shots - they're full of atmosphere. In this case the attmosphere of destitution, abandonment and loneliness is very strong here due to the way you composed it, the angle of taking and the monochrome treatment. Eerie pic, really.
Xcellent work/

Very sad that it's in this condition, Emanuela. What caused the abandonment here? The atmosphere of abandonment is very well captured in both the composition and treatment in these tones. The grass is a big dead field of clumps, the water hole looks like a dirty puddle reflecting the abandoned shells beyond. And the big bleak sky furthers that feel of total neglect. It feels like a great void, a depressing relic of what once was. Well seen and photographed Emanuela.
