Photographer’s Note

Il Santuario del Santissimo Salvatore sorge sulla sommità di un monte isolato a m. 954 di altitudine ed è a sei chilometri dal centro abitato di Montella.
E' un luogo indimenticabile, chiunque vi sosti in meditazione si sente sospeso tra terra e cielo. C’è un panorama mozzafiato dal quale si domina tutta la vallata sottostante.
Una tradizione religiosa legata al santuario è quella di suonare almeno una volta all’anno la sacra campana del peso di circa 20 quintali, fusa nel 1849 dai F.lli Marinelli di Agnone .La campana viene suonata a doppio rintocco da almeno 4 persone e nelle sere d'estate è possibile sentirne il suono anche a 20 km di distanza.
La facciata del Santuario è stata completamente ristrutturata nel 1979, si presenta molto semplice ed essenziale. Una volta varcato l’ingresso dell’attuale chiesa settecentesca, già entrando, si è toccati da un’atmosfera di sacro e silenzio, che emoziona.
Il 6 agosto di ogni anno il Santuario è meta di un sentitissimo pellegrinaggio.

The Sanctuary of the Saintest Savior rises on the top of an isolated mount to m. 954 of altitude and are to six kilometers from the inhabited center of Montella. It dominates, therefore, all the below valley. The panorama is breath-taking!
That’s an unforgettable place, anyone pauses in meditation is felt suspended between earth and sky.
A tied religious tradition to the sanctuary is that at least once in the year they play the sacred bell of the weight of approximately 20 quintals, fused in the 1849 from the famous Marinelli bros. from Agnone
The bell is played from at least 4 persons and in the evenings of summer it is possible to feel of the sound also to 20 km of distance.
The facade of the Sanctuary has been completely restructured in 1979, it is introduced essential and much simple too. Once crossed the income of that 700 Church, already entering, visitors can feel touched like from an atmosphere of sacred and Hush, that it moves.
Every 6th august the faithfuls go to the top of mount for a fervent pilgrimage.

meravigliosi i colori, i contrasti fra i colori, l'inquadratura del santuario dalla piccola stradina.
La composizione, la nitidezza e l'esposizione sono davvero magistrali. Molto interessanti i ws ed esauriente la nota. Un lavoro perfetto. Bravo.

ciao Freddy,
ti sei sbizarrito non una ma tre stupende foto. Molto bene la pricipale e' ottimamente eseguita con un bel punto di ripresa mi piace la stradina e l'edificio immerso nel verde, il panorama e' molto ben realizzato la vista e' fantastica e da il senso della visuale dal convento ,
la terza potrebbe essere il nuovo cartello stradale del convento , infine la nota dettagliata come sempre .

Bel lavoro: colori e dettagli sono di gran livello, solo la torre è un pò sovraesposta ma difficile far meglio, interessanti le altre e la nota.

Hi Freddy,

Nice composition! I really like the road leading up to the sanctuary. The details/colors of the cloudy blue sky and green trees/bushes look great. I'd be interested in seeing how high this sactuary is atop this hill? It doesn't look that high from your point of view, but judging by the valley below in the background, it's really high up there! It looks very isolated up there. Great shot and great note!
