Hello Guenther! Yes, I like this one a little more since the sky was a little blown out in the other one. Great note on that prior post, it's avery interesting place. I like your POV, capturing this from an elevated angle really helps to tell the story of the village. I also like how the ancient village mixes the ancient with some modern elements like motorbikes and small cars.

A very unique picture of Italy. Most people take pics of the Duomo, or famous buildings and artwork, but this scene of an old town is great, and I like the angle you took it at. -Lara

Is an awesome photograph. I love the orange glow of the lights around the city. The men make for a very interesting detail, and add some life to the photo. I also like seeing the cars and the scooter. Great shot.

A red Smart in the middle of this ancient buildings is quite attractive, however it would have been more powerful if it wouldn't be exactly in the middle of the shot.

La Smart in centro...forse non stona, sicuramente questa immagine sarebbe un bl cartellone pubblicitario per Smart.

Schöne Atmosphäre in diesem Bild, Günther. Die Strassenlampen in den schmalen Gassen bringen ein angenehm wärmendes Glühen in die Szene, und natürlich geben die alten Häuser ein fotogenes und reich detailliertes Muster ab. Schön, dass man unten auch ein paar Menschen auf der Strasse sieht. Der Smart stört mich nicht sonderlich, aber ich denke dass das Bild insgesamt etwas abgedunkelt werden könnte, etwa so wie in Philippe's Version.

Allora: io avrei urlato a quei tre ragazzi di togliere quella (...) di Smart prima di scattare. Per il resto mi viene nostalgia di Castanea delle Furie il paesello dove trascorro da sempre le vacanze estive. E mi viene sempre da pensare se riuscirei a viverci tutto l'anno o se scapparei dopo una settimana di freddo invernale. Sicuramente il tasso di stress qui è basso.

Bellissima vista! I villagi del Sud hanno sempre questa bellezza e questa autenticità. Quando vedo queste piccole strade, queste vecchie case, mi viene la nostalgia di un passato che non ho mai conosciuto...La vità semplice, tranquilla.
Mi piace molto la luminosità, la luce è molto bella col tramonto.
Ho letto delle cose sul caso "Smart". Direi che è l'unico segno della modernità in questo mondo fuori il tempo

Hi Guenther.
This one is great, even probably better than the next one you post on the same subject. The textural aspects of these old walls and roofs are superb! It inspired me another little ws (another one...), just for fun. I hope you'll like it. You'll see that I tried another alternative than Philippe one (which was really nice work, to my opinion) and decided to use the smart as an interesting graphic element...

Hi Guenther,
Thanks to the good elevated PoV you get here a nice collection of roofs, I like the red Smart (or Smirt as it is called in Sardegna...) because I think it fits well to the narrow streets of this place and adds a good color touch, the light sources popping in several locations are nice too. I agree about cropping on the left to remove the other cars and better focus attention on the Smirt.

This fine view over Matera. The mix of light (specially the warm lamppost light) gives a great atmosphere - I like the street life as well - not that hectic.

Llego tarde a comentar esta foto pero no quiero dejar de hacerlo porque el punto de vista y el encuadre me parecen formidables, con el toque del coche rojo en el centro. Es una foto muy mediterranea, me recuerda a Mallorca, mi lugar en el mundo.

Hi Günther, mehr oder weniger so sehen einige dörfer in Apulien aus, z.B. Mattinata wo meine Eltern leben. Eine sehr schöne Perspektive, die du ausgewählt hast. Ich mag die Lichter und das grüppchen an der Mauer.

I like birds-eye views and this is a good one.
There is such a lot to see and it is fun to 'explore' the photograph - in and out of the little streets.
The lights give a good ambience.

J'aime beaucoup cette voiture rouge au milieu de cette ville aux vieilles pierres. Elle ne gâche pas le paysage, elle montre que même aujourd'hui cette ville a gardé sa beauté.
Sinon, il faudrait enlever aussi les lampadaires et ajouter des chevaux :o)

I like the high POV you use here to show a full view of the houses. Exposure is great too. Nice detail of the red car and the three people chatting..:D Nice mood.

Adoro il modo in cui la luce, solitamente orrenda, dei fari al sodio si mescola con quella naturale. Se devo essere sincero, la Smart rompe un po' le scatole. Anche perché la profondità di campo è un po' limitata, quasi a sottolineare il primo piano, mentre invece la foto è bella tutta.

non sono mai stato qui, ma dalle foto che ho visto e adesso questa "bellissima" tua, deve essere un posto che suscita fascino.
Vista così, questa foto sembra stata scattata ad un presepe.
Soltanto le auto possono disilludermi.
Una bella vista sui tetti (che io amo tanto).
Talmente tanto che ne ho creato un tema e questa tua foto corre dritta li.
