Pietrapertosa, Dolomiti Lucane

Le rocce dalla sagoma sorprendente hanno nomi evocativi, Aquila Reale, Grande Madre, Incudine.
Il paese che sorge sul versante meridionale della Costa di San Martino, č il pių alto comune della Lucania (1088 mt.) e sembra tragga origine da un avamposto saraceno.

Sul lato opposto della costa, a soli 2 km in linea d'aria, sorge Castelmezzano, http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Italy/Basilicata/Potenza/Castelmezzano/photo1289485.htm.

The rocks from the amazing shape have evocative names, Golden Eagle, Great Mother, Anvil.

The village lies on the southern side of San Martino ridge anf it is the highest town of Lucania (1088 mt.) and appears to arise from an ancient arab outpost.
