Felicitazioni per la ricorrenza (perchè la celebri sono in inglese?). La foto è molto bella, con questa tonalità dorata che è piu' luminosa del classico seppia. Il controluce riduce gli elementi a delle silouhettes, e non serve neppure un primissimo piano di qualcosa: ai miei occhi il vero soggetto della foto è l'orizzonte e il tema rappresentato è il movimento in quella direzione. Hello Stella,

Congratulations on your first year anniversary. You bring more to the Trekearth Community than you take away from it, and I for one am very grateful. The composition in this image, with the strong diagonal structure created by the lines, is very attractive. There is a sense of the viewer being right there, or perhaps the image of the old actor Errol Flynn, swashbuckling sailor-actor who died when I was a teenager. In sepia the photograph works specially well, setting the scene in his times.
