Photographer’s Note

The little church of S. Mark is in S. Oronzo Square. The church dates back approximately to the first half of the XVI century. It was built by Venetian colony to mark the relationships between Serenissima and Lecce. The façade represents the symbol of Venice, St. Mark's lion (on the book one can read: Pax Tibi Marce Evangelista Meus), in the portal's lunetta. The church is now the center of the National Association of Servicemen and Veterans.

* In the ws a closer view of the lion, oh I almost forgot, this ws is dedicated to my son Alex who likes Venice very much *

Hope you'll like it.
