Photographer’s Note
During the summer in the south of Italy it's quite easy to have infernal view like this.
After the products of the fields are collected they use to "clean" it by burning the remaining dry part.
Somtimes it happens that these fire goes out of control creating huge problems. We're facing a very bad summer in Italy, due to large fires area all over the country.

Giorgio
I like the sharpness on the flames and the difference of sharpness on the trees behind the heat wave. The DOF you used plays very well here.

Ciao, Giorgio!
What topical photo! It's a reporterlike one!I understand you very well, as we've had a similar problem this summer. You must have a good zoom to give such a close shot,or you are simply a courageous man.
Nice WE and Friday evening.

I like how your camera has picked up the heat haze we can see through the smoke. It is quite a worrying sight. For quite a few years now this practice was banned in the UK and we don't have anything like the dryness of Southern Europe.

Hi Giorgio!
Very impressive picture. This is something happening in Greece too. sometimes the farmers are not very careful and the fire gets out of control.

Ciao Giorgio,
bel lavoro

Hello Giorgio,
Oh yes, indeed it happens they get out of control!
They used to do that here too before, but I think it is forbidden now?
A good documentary photograph, I notice the hot air above the flames!

Ciao Giorgio,

ciao
Silvio
