Photographer’s Note
Everyone has places that are special to them. Some people like to be in the woods, or mountains, or out in the city at night.
In my family our special pace is by the sea or on a sailboat. As children, we built sand castles and collected hermit crabs together, competed in swimming races and went on sailing picnics.
These shared experience gave our family a sense of closeness, a lot of fun and laughter and a common outlook on life.
Spending time by the ocean can also spark a love of history, a desire to explore the world and a curiosity about the creatures that live beneath the waves.
Recalling those times later brings those thoughts back to life even if you haven't left your own room.
Taken from another boat near Brindisi's Marina.
Cropped, resized to eliminate a part of the sea.

hi Stella,
good to have a ship as neighbour tonight, so i can go out the week end, and with the wind right here, it won't be a problem to sail :)
could just crop the right part so the ship would make a perfect diagonal.

Hello Stella,
I like the simplicity of composition and the finer details!
The tilted sailboat adds dynamics, and the blues in sky and sea are very beautiful...
Well framed situation and an image with impact!

What can I say for this photo?
I born almost in the sea and for all my life I live next to her.
I can not imagine my life without see her blue color when I open my window.
A lot of times my mood dependence from her mood. If she is nice I feel nice, if she is in a bad mood I am also in a bad mood.
I am sure you can understand what I mean.
Your photo is a poem for her.
Best regards

Ciao Stella.

Buon vento,
Donato

Hi Stella,
seeing your capture just one thing goes through my mind: the complete freedom. Just wind in the hair, sun and vastness around. Many times I watch boats come and go, capturing them far away on horizon and wonder, how beautiful feeling must be, being so far from all the rush and worries. Unforunately I cannot enjoy this feeling because of sea sickness. But I always strongly connect all mentioned with sail boats. I strongly connect it with your capture. It is beautifully taken with diagonal position of boat which gives it dynamics, with clearly visible silhuette of woman and wind playing with her hair. Not many colours but this three that they are, sincere blue, bright white and small red accents...perfect.
Wish you pleasant and sunny w-end,
Jeri

A perfect angle for fast sailing as i know Stella. Sea is what I love the most ,after some people. Your note is lovable.
Your picture is splendid and wonderful with superb POV and beautiful colors.
Sea color is amazing. It's very difficult to see the sea color the same. Is always different but always is wonderful.

Hello Stella,
I cannot think of any better way to present the image of a sailing boat — tipped at 60° relative to the horizon and heading in your direction. It resembles a painting I once produced as a commission for the father of a good friend (we were university students.) I had obviously thought of precisely these conditions as ideal. The cropping and framing are extraordinary, but what I especially like is the contemporaneous nature of the photo — posted on the same day that you took it. Just fabulous!
Warm regards,

Une très belle composition, le format carré est bien vu. La voile crée une intéressante diagonale et renforce l'aspect sportif et dynamique de la scène.

a wonderful boat shot. love the white against the dark blue of the sea and the bright blue sky. and, of course, the red 'icing on the cake' (the shirts). compositionally though, i feel, the boat is screeming for a bit more space on the left and top: a tad cramped, the way it is. but it could be just me :))
warm regards,
kristaps
