Doctor 's House
Fine example of Renaissance civil architecture, overlooking the most important street of Campli, the House of Doctor, already Massei , was a noble building , formerly religious retreat (XVI century) The external appearance is less elegant of the adjacent house of Speziale, but the interior is a pleasant and unexpected surprise. The entrance overlooking the large backyard has maintained its characteristics and barrel vaulted brick: the elegant court of access keeps a double arcade of stone and brick, the lower level the slender polygonal columns decorated with leafy capitals emphasize the “toscaneggiante” impression that the Massei gave to their first building in Campli. A simple and elegant staircase that takes place two divergent ramps leading to the upper floor porch with circular columns in leafy capitals. Fine a well polygonal stone allocated to the left of the entrance, also note the beautiful inscriptions with mottos of wisdom and the exaltation of the value of the physician, from which the house takes its name.
