Photographer's Note

Castel del Monte is characterized by a compact nucleus of medieval origin and a more modern, to the north of the old town, dating to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The residential architecture is dominated by the type of tower-house, with a structure similar to a masonry tower, a very small base, and considerable development in height. Town of438inhabitants in the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region, including in the mountain community Campo Imperatore-this plain, is part of the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga and the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Rises to over 1300ms.l.m.along the slopes of Mount Bolza, in close proximity to Mount Shirtand the vast plain of Campo Imperatore.
