Pacentro è uno splendido centro medioevale incastonato fra le montagne sopra Sulmona, in provincia di L'Aquila, in Abruzzo. Celebre per il Castello con le sue torri, le antiche tradizioni culinarie e per aver dato le origini alla pop star Madonna, al secolo Veronica Louise "Ciccone", questo appunto il cognome dei suoi lontani parenti originari di questo luogo.

Pacentro is a beautiful medieval town nestled in the mountains above Sulmona, in the province of L'Aquila, in Abruzzo. Famous for its castle and its towers, the ancient culinary traditions and giving origin to the pop star Madonna, born Louise Veronica "Ciccone", this just the name of his distant relatives originating from this place.

I think you found the very best POV to show this attractive medieval town surrounded by the impressive forested mountain slopes.
From here we can see the three towers neatly in a row.
The light on the town makes it stand out beautifully against the dark green trees.

conosco il paesino ma non ho mai avuto il piacere di visitarlo...la tua foto è un buono spunto...
Bellissima luce e ottima inquadratura con il taglio verticale, mi piacciono molto anche i giochi di ombra...risaltano molto le torri...ma tutto il paese in generale circondato da una fitta vegetazione, ha giudicare dalla linea di dove finisce la vegetazione si trova anche molton in alto...diciamo circa 1500 Mt...

Il paese sembra scivolare dalla cima della montagna. E 'spettacolare la luce in mezzo alla vegetazione scura. La vista è molto ben scelto. L'inquadratura è intelligente, con la valle che conduce al cielo. I apprezzare l'eccellente qualità di lavorazione. Bravo.

questo villaggio (che non conoscevo), così abbarbicato sul fianco della montagna e circondato di verde, così magnificamente inquadrato e illuminato, è veramente stupendo. Complimenti! Fa venir la voglia di andare subito a visitarlo.

Hello Nino,

Good point of view to evidence the specificity of this village lost in the forest and in the mountain slopes. Moreover the lightning was good, giving a good contrast thanks to the white rendering of the town walls.

This is an Italian region I haven't visited yet, and according to your photo, it's absolutely superb, surprisingly tight and completely surrounded by the forest.

I like the way you have placed it in your composition, low in the frame, naturally finding its balance there. Light is good, creating relief with strong shadows.

Excellente POV su questo gioiellino incastonato fra le montagne. Ottimo contrasto fra il villaggio colpito dai raggi del sole e le montagne scure coperte di foreste.
Sembra come si la montagna si inclinasse per proteggere il villaggio precioso.
