Photographer’s Note
We rented a Tuscan Villa just outside the small village of Limoli. I loved the rustic nature of the house including the bathroom facilities. Photographically I love the subtle transition between colour and black and white that this shot has. The monochromatic tones of the stone and furnishings almost trick the eye into seeing this shot in black and white. The small area's of spot colour are the only clue that this is a colour shot.

Very calmimg picture of this bathroom. Light, bringing another world in, seems to be having little of luck.
I especially like the contrast between the tidy room, square clean frame and the tilt of the camera. It reminds this is not a postcard or an add for beatiful lamps, but a real home that interacts with real people changing their mood with its atmosphere (that we are invited to see) and being changed by the atmosphere set by the people.
