Photographer’s Note

An old sheperds refuge, stone made, located in the Maiella mountain, middle Italy.
It was once used to have a rest during the seasonal winter sheep transfer from Abruzzo to Apulia, more south, in order to get fresh pasture.
This transfer was called “TRANSUMANZA”, and there still are several paths that sheeps and sheperds once covered by feet…
These ways are now attended by runners and tourists, sheeps go by trucks…!
