Photographer’s Note
This shot was taken in summer 2005 at Roccascalegna, one of the most beautiful castles in Abruzzo region. Legend says that in 1646 baron De Corvis started in this castle the well known rule of “ius primae noctis”, and that he was killed by a girl who didn’t appreciate his attentions…
Now Roccascalegna (near Chieti) in a little rural village dominated by the ruins of the castle, built in spectacular position over the rocks…

This is a really nice photo. I like the rolls of hay in the foreground and the castle on the hill. It could use a bit more contrast and brightness, I did a workshop, just a little adjustment in Photoshop. Hope you like it.

nice composition, but you could have posted a smaller picture, this is a bit difficult to see!
