It's Rain Again... Photo

Photographer’s Note

Howdy Trekkies,
Today the picture taken on O'Connell Street, Dublin.
From Wikipedia:
O'Connell Street (Irish: Sráid Uí Chonaill) is Dublin's main thoroughfare. One of Europe's widest streets, it measures 49m (160ft) in width at its southern end, 46m (150ft) at the north, and is 500m (1650ft) in length. Known as 'Sackville Street' until 1924, Dublin Corporation renamed it in honour of Daniel O'Connell, a nationalist leader of the early nineteenth century whose statue stands at the lower end of the street, facing O'Connell Bridge.

It was a rainy day and the atmosphere was slightly sad. I used PP to highlight this dark, depressive atmosphere.
But please folks: don't be fooled by this photo. It isn't raining in Dublin every day! :)

Hello Chris,

A very impressive atmospher with the mixt between B&W and colours. A scene of everyday's life in a city very well collected with a good use of vertival format. Beautiful sky well collected too.

Doskonale foto jakby ktos sie pytal, jaka pogoda dominuje w Irlandii:)
Chyba je podesle do Polski. Swietne refleksy na plytach chodnikowych.

To mi sie bardziej podoba niz te klimaty starych wrakow. Ale dlaczego ten slup /? / czy co to jest obciety? Juz nogi uciete moga byc. Ale ten slup moglby byc w calosci. Znowu interesujace kolory.

Cześć doktorku,
Ciągle pada, jak śpiewała Maryla. Ale to jakieś archiwalne zdjęcie, ze środka zimy. Przypuszczam że dziś Dublin tak nie wyglądał. Rzeczywiście dość ponura atmosfera. Fajnie pokazane życie codzienne, wszyscy gdzieś się spieszą. Autobusy tez fajne! Pozdrawiam

I hope you understand my special black humor Chris!...but there's one thing in your image that torments me...what the hell is that sort of neverending column in the middle of the pict, and where does it drive?

Ciao Dottore,
inverno pesante su Dublino!
Particolare immagine di vita quotidiana, su una strada che sembra essere molto bella.
La presenza delle nuvole grigie, aiuta a dare una piacevole composizione alla foto.

Domanda: Cosa è quel lungo palo al centro della strada?
E' impressionante la sua altezza.

U nas tez pogoda raczej barowa zupelnie jak na Twoim zdjeciu. Choc to nie Dublin :-)
Mimo wszystko fotka wyszla superzasto. Mam nadzieje, ze nie zlapales kataru, bo ostanio Cie nie widac :-) na TE

Hey Chris!

At the moment photos of Kildare appear on the cover of TE as a favorite destination. Regarding the picture because that is a vivid portrait of Dublin in Autumn-Winter, with its gray skies and its umbrella and it reflected perfectly har.

dear Chris,
this a little melanchoric atmosphere in rainy Dublin is tasteful to my eyes and soul.
and this tall tower(chimney) looks quite linking the heaven and the earth,,,then depressive feeling is descending from this heavy cloudy sky to wet streat and people.
