Moonrise over Beamish, a photo from Cork, South

From the news:
Heineken cleared to buy Beamish and Crawford.

The Competition Authority has cleared the way for Heineken to buy Beamish and Crawford.
Both companies are involved in the production, sale and distribution of alcoholic drinks to the on-trade and off-trade in the Ireland.

In this picture you can see in the right bottom corner the Beamish Brewery in Cork City.
The church was mentioned by me before: St Fin Barr Cathedral.

From the wikipedia:
The Beamish and Crawford brewery was founded in Cork, Ireland in 1792 by William Beamish and William Crawford. They purchased an existing brewery on a site in Cramer's lane that had been used for brewing since at least 1650 (and possibly as early as 1500). The brewery is still situated in the heart of Cork's medieval city, close to the site of the city's South Gate.

this picture is very impressive and very well composed, but it look like a good workshop. The size of the moon is too big and it's not possible to get this light on it and this color in the sky, according to the light on the church.
But the work is well composed

This is a great blue hour shot. The inclusion of the moon is fantastic. The moon provides nice balance for the church. The golden glow of the lighted cathedral provides nice contrast to the deep blue sky.

Takie zdjecie zrobic nie jest latwo. Katedra sw. Finbarra, perelka architektury sakralnej. Nigdy bym o niej nie wiedziala, zeby nie Twoje zdjecie, a tak poczytalam sobie.

Awesome perspective of the moon! That much is obvious. I think it is more suited to black and white. I'll give it a try in a workshop next year.

great shot - nice to see how sharp the moon is in this photo.

now, if you have got the Murphy's brewery in I would find a way to give you 50 points for that photograph. Cork is my idea of drinking heaven: Beamish Brewery, Murphy's Brewery and Paddy's Distillery: what mroe could you ask for.

Superb work Mariusz,

The juxtaposition is flawlessly composed and exposed. Over and above the fact that it is an excellent example of a piece of photographic art, it is in the context of three dimensional shapes — conical, spherical, cylindrical... — that I like the image.
