Photographer’s Note
Shellinghill/Templetown called after the crusading "Knights Templars" fronts one of Louth's most popular but as yet unspoilt stretch of coastline.
Protected on each side by a low level rock promontory, its smooth safe sands extends its friendly playground to curious underwater marine life and to numerous local and day trippers.
Taken at sunset, this is a fishing boat that was beached named "Boy Joseph"
Thanks for looking :)
Gary

Superb warm colors, textures and special light. The magnificent sky, the lonely boat, the algae of the FG compose a beautiful scene.

At first glance I thought this was a photo of a painting.
Brilliant colors and lovely shot.

Gary,
This is a great shot with excellent warm lighting and colors. Your composition is great using the wet seabed to lead the eye into the photo. The photo looks like a painting, great work! The sharpness and DOF are outstanding.

Hi Gary,
The props you are carrying along are getting bigger and bigger each and every time :-)).
Very nice shot. Really well exposed and what an interesting foreground. You were lucky there with the clouds, breaking up the light and the sky a bit. Very nice!!
Greetings,
Dennis

Hi Gary,
This is nicely done but contrary to popular opinion I prefer the closer view of the ship. I feel this one lacks some of the dynamic that the other has - at least to my eye. Really nice image nonetheless.
Cheers!

Hi Gary
What to say - beautiful scenery which did its best to arrange itself especially for your frame ;-) Good image quality, too. The effect is a real pleasure to watch.
I remember lonelywolf (Maciej Duczyñski) had his "landscape with a boat" phase with great effects, do you know his photos?
Best regards
Joanna
