This surfer was really alone on this beach, with his long board...He waited for the big wave in the cold and the wind.

j'aime beaucoup cette sensation de solitude amenée par un choix de cadrage large. Personnellement j'aurai peut-être enlevé le ciel mais c'est un choix qui se discute. Très belles teintes en tout cas. Bien vu.

Hi Guy,

I really like this image. I think it has great texture layers giving a feeling of distance and scale. Colourwork is harmonic and the silhuette gives a feeling of a lonelyness. Nice work!

Hi Guy, great composition here! I would've preferred the subject to be a little bigger, but nevertheless this picture is very easy to read: just the surfer and the beach. Plus the simplistic colors add to the composition and the mood. I like this very much.

Très jolie composition. Ce surfer est vraiment mis en valeur car c'est le seul élément vertical.
J'aime aussi cette grande étendue de plage et cette série de rouleaux.
Il y a une très belle harmonie de couleurs.

Bonsoir Guy,

une photo intéressante qui peut amener le photographe et ceux qui regardent cette photo à s'interroger... Le thème de la solitude est magnifique... mais il invite à la question... que fait cette personne seule ? Pourquoi ?
On peut inventer des histoires à partir d'une simple photo. Et c'est à cela que me fait penser ton cliché au début d'une histoire... Le bonhome solitaire semble presque s'envoler (son manteau lui fait des ailes). J'aurais peut-être center sur le bonhome en supprimant le premier plan et j'aurais fait un N&B pour accentuer encore plus cette idée... Un avis comme ça.

Très bien fait, Guy :) I like the lonely man out there with his board, and no wonder he was alone with waters barely off freezing level. Brrr. What I really like are the minimal colors, almost unfriendly but in a good sense, hard to explain but maybe you know what I mean. I can't say that I want to join him but your photo makes me want to walk along this beach, maybe finding mussels or nice stones to keep and bring home. This is very good, I like it. This is a wonderful shot with a smooth texture fitting the mood and subject. I would love to be the guy in the picture but unfortunately, I dont surf.
