The monastery of Clonmacnoise on the River Shannon is probably the most beautiful in Ireland. It overlooks the river that flows wide and calm in the middle of the plain. The site was founded in 548 by St Ciarân with the help of the king of Tara: Diarmund. Ente the 7èm and 12nd si, monks came from all over Europe to study. This monastery acquired such importance that the kings of Connaught and Tara were buried there - the last king of Tara: Rory O'Connor who died in 1198. The river was also his loss. The Vikings plundered the site in 830 and 1165. In 1552, the British army destroyed.

Bonjour Marie,
Ah je vois que c'est de famille l'interet pour l'Irlande, joli parc charge en elements sous un temps... Irlandais, vous les Corses vous devez deprimer apres 2 ou 3 jours sans soleil ;-)
Sinon il aurait ete possible de cloner cette dame en rouge et la personne qui incruste son epaule a gauche, je vois que le lieu est tres frequente !

ce site inspire le respect, j'aime bien cette tour de pierre au loin qui semble faire le guet vers la rivière, tous ces monuments qui décrivent sans doute l'histoire de cet endroit, belle composition .

It's a very inviting capture - wide angle panorama with strange stone details and contemporary people, the green lane and the blue river and cloudy sky are well combined to raise interest af the ancient place.

La note est très impressionnante et instructive pour moi, de plus l'image reflète très bien la note. la vue de la rivière tordu c'est très joli. J'aime beaucoup Réal.
