Photographer’s Note
Meet sun(ny)dancer and Caroline Marie. These small boats were lying on the shore in Portmagee, already posted a boat picture of this little harbour. I'm always attracted by boats, but in this case the small one had a nice name: Sundancer, which looks like sunnydancer, and since i"m active on TE, and I see a boat I always have to think of Sunny, who is the best boat-uploader on TE, together with jhonny_blue,
After my 2 previous bad weather posts, I needed a sunny one. We had survived a choppy ocean after a trip to the Skelligs, the weather had turned nice again, and there were these lovely boats. Hope you like it.
tech, cropped, auto-levels, sharpened and added a frame.

It's a beautiful shot, Rinie. I agree with you that boat are one of the most interesting themes on TE (I wonder why), and there are several experts for boats - you mentioned Sunny, Johny Blue, and I must add also Robbertjan, Jose Elias, and some more, and they all have their special way to shoot their boats. This is a very nice shot of boats, taken from a low angle, with splendid colors.
I wonder why almost all names of boats are women's names, except of the SUNDANCER which is a special name for a boat. Good shot, Rinie, as usual.

Very fine compositon and colour match you spotted with these fine boats - I like to watch this very sunny and bright photo - surely one for Pers theme.
Thanks for sharing Rinie.

A very sunny shot indeed, color don't get much stronger, do they? The red and the blue are an enjoyment to look at and the ropes, boxes etc. under the prow are a good earth-colored contrast. The stick in the upper right corner is a minor distraction, it could be cloned out. Still a dark green smiley photo.

Stunning quality, composition is good, though not perfect, but it's really hard to notice (this quality just overwhelms ;))

This is a nice shot of these two boats. The colors and crispness are very nice. I like the textures of the boats, accented by the shadows. I also like the contrast between what seems to be more worn smaller boat in relation to the better maintained larger one. Very nicely done.

Yes, excellent shot! Fine composition with a low POV, a very good angle and perfect crop. Colours are brillant and saturated and despite its tiny size, "Sun(ny)dancer" stands proud here :-). A very good variation in your Ireland series. The contrast and lighting are excellent. Well seen and thanks for sharing this excellent serie Rinie!

Ooops! Sorry to be late for the red faery, Rinie...! ;-D
This is INCREDIBLE red! A true splash of vibrant clolours /together with the blue one/, set in a gorgeous composition of these charming boats. Sharpness, clarity and light are excellent. Very well seen and captured!
ps:I feel a bit uncomfortable for the PR, but thank you - I am so much honoured indeed!...;-D
I am a humble amateur yet, though yes, I am in love with the little, simple boats...:-))

Everything in this shot is striking, Rinie - the low-angle composition looking at "baby boat" and "mommie boat", the strong colors, and the clarity and sharpness. A lovely capture, looking at is is kind of like a (very) short seaside vacation. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I love the bold primary colours in this shot, Rinie. And your close compo with the hulls of these fine boats pointing up is really spot on. It's all very graphic and wonderful. Excellent work!

And it's funny because I have got a picture of the exact same boat! Caroline Marie! For that one you have got much nicer light though...my pic is with grey sky...
this little harbour is next to the bridge to Valentia island, right? Slainte! ;-)

Hi Rinie, this is a beautiful picture of these boats (one of my favourite subjects). I love the bold colours and the curving lines. The lighting here is at the perfect angle for the shadows to really bring out the contours of the boats' hulls.
