Photographer’s Note
This is another image of Malahide Castle. This is taken looking straight on to the main door. This is a busy tourist attraction.

Serwus Paul !
The castle itself is splendid, but i find Your "straight" composition not very attractive. Naturally, i don't know if there was a place to shoot it from a different angle, but this one is too static. I would look for a better use of the path (coming from the corner of the frame and try to avoid these branches on the right, actually coming from nowhere. The thing i like here is a good sense of scale including the couple under the archway. Now the castle doesn't seem to be very tall :) It is a correct and informative frame, but i see more potential in it. That's all.
Thanks for Your patience and be well,
Mat

A nice shot, with human figures in several places adding interest and depth to the photo. I very much like the man lying on the grass to the left of the path. The colour and light seem very natural.

Hi Paul,
I like this POV, it takes the eye straight to the front door. The light and colour are very good and having people in the shot give it good depth. If I good be anyone in that shot it would be the guy on the left, lucky man!

Hi Paul, I wrote a critique of this picture, which seems to have disappeared. I did a workshop too, to show what I mean, but I must have pressed the wrong button. I do agree with what has been said about being too straight on, but this seems to suite something as static and monumental as a castle. I like your colour. You have a lovely soft light to work with. I wish we had that. The people are just right to give scale and the very relaxed fellow to the left gives it a laid back sort of feel .I like that touch. I do not like that modern and obtrusive light fitting in the front, however, and I feel that it would be even nicer to clone it out, so I did so in a workshop. Regards Kevin

A detail I like in your picture is the man sleeping on the grass. He seems really appreciate the good air of Irland.
Nice composition.
Greetings
