Coast of Donegal Ireland at Slieve League

I made my descent down to view this Tower which you can see from my post on TN today. I don't have any information about this tower though. The jagged coast of County Donegal is a place of rugged beauty. Mountains, green valleys, rocky islands, and bogs abound, and it is Donegal's spectacular cliffs, such as the 600 m drop at Slieve League, which are most well known.

A little scary but beautiful, I like this region in Ireland,very good contrast and a perfect composition .Well done.

Hello,
The composition is great. The light is wonderful whant it is focused like in your picture on the ruins & grass!.
Beautifull landscape.
I've tried a WS to correct distorsion (but I'm not that happy we the result!).

Hello Stephen. Very well done - the lighting conditions here have conspired to highlight your subject and frame it nicely, perched out there on the sheer cliff.

The structure seems to have a backwards lean to it, which judging by the fact the horizon is quite flat here, makes me think the effect is real - very strange!

Excellent shot! I like the way you captured the tower with the huge expanse of ocean beyond, giving the sense of the building standing against the forces of nature. Well done!

bonjour Stephen,

vos images sont vraiment magnifiques, je suis sous le charme. J'aime particulièrement celle-ci, du fait de l'isolement de la tour. Normalement elle sert à protéger, ici elle semble démunie face à cet espace si vaste.
