I think this is a magical place, we have enjoyed many visits to the The Porter House in Dublin. It also brews its own stouts and a "pint o' plain" is a must.

This stage is set in the central atrium on the middle level. With the place packed to the rafters on all floors, the musicians can be seen, heard and enjoyed by all in the galleries. A brilliant concept and well worth a visit.

This band is called Sliotar and I believe they still play sessions most weekends. When they play Jigs and Reels the venue is simply "a buzzin"

Although I have no affiliation with either of them I have included these links, one to a short sample of their music on their own web site and a second to The Porter House in Temple Bar. For me a special place in Dublin.

This is actually one of the few pubs in Dublin that I don't like. But that's just me. :-)

Lovely photo of the band playing. Great angle to the photo too. Well captured.
