Curious Sheep Photo

Photographer’s Note

Came across this sheep while hiking in the Wicklow mountains, which are on the east coast of Ireland. The location was the Glenmalure area, on the slopes of Log mountain.

Details: Used a Pentax K1000 Fujichrome slide film, slide was printed, and later scanned at 300DPI. No PP other than a small crop.

Very cool photo. Lovely image of the sheep. Reminds me of Donegal - where men are men, and sheep are scared.

un merveilleux portrait assez net de cet aniaml sympathique qui a l'air de se prêter au jeu.
Excellente DOF qui met en valeur l'animal par rapport à ce qui l'entoure.
Couleurs chaudes.

Lovely. The sheep has almost a human pose, a very tender attitude. Well seen!
Perhaps the colours are too warm but I think that in this case they add more to the feeling of tenderness.

Sheep are the funniest things- this one looks like he's taking a long time concidering something. The lighting is great and so is the detail of the coat. Good work!

What a coat! Tilted head and ears wide up really show how that sheep really has attention on you. I would be more concerned on where to put my feet on that place.

What a beautiful sheep with its lovely woolly coat and gorgous facial expression. It does look very curious. I like the composition of the photo too, with the rocks as a natural frame, and the contrasting colours, browns and blues. Very nice!
