Photographer’s Note
Belvelly Castle dates from the 13th century and was built by the Hodnett family . In later years it fell into the hands (as did much of County Cork)of Queen Elizabeth's favourite - Sir Walter Raleigh. She later changed her mind and had him executed!!!
