3 portrait photos taken with a 28mm were stitched for this. Trabane Strand is at the end of a road which goes west from the village of Glencolumbcille. The other side of the (badly stitched) mountains at upper left are the cliffs of Slieve Leauge, another contender for the highest cliffs in Europe (more to come on that place in the future). I cannot find informative info on this location other than cottages for lease/sale, but after all, it's just a beach.

Hi Tan, also today you give us a great image...we, that are in our offices...and we see that Caribean beach...in Ireland!

Tan, excellent merging of 3 photos and the location and beauty of Trabine Strand is remarkable..well done
nerve (10231) 2005-06-16 9:12
Great picture as usual,,quite amazing because it looks like a fish-eye shot because of your perfect POV..(this surely is not the distortion of a 28 mm lens. cant be anyway..)
wonderful composition, beautiful place..

Wow!! Joaquin

Amazing composition: curvatures are really fantastic, nothing say about vivid colours.

great shot of this bay area, very good work, I like the colour of the sea, very nice indeed
davido (1982) 2005-06-16 11:41
Yet another beautiful scenery of Erin, with the lonesome sand beaches.
But water is not very welcoming even if it's hot ;-)
Roly (2024) 2005-06-16 11:44
Nice composition around this lagoon, which reminds much more of a tropical paradise than of the cold and rainy Ireland. Pretty good stitching job, I always have difficulties with images taken at wide angle.
richtersl (3546) 2005-06-16 11:56
I love the curve of that shoreline. Just as in yesterday's photo, those blue gradients are fabulous!
AmiBe (6042) 2005-06-16 12:26
Yes, just a beach, but a desert beach and a wonderful landscape around.
I like many curves and this one, too.
Colors are very nice...

Excellent travail Tan,

I really didn't know Ireland has so beautiful beaches. Wonderful colors you captured from this little bay.
Coyotyto (1305) 2005-06-16 13:27
It might be just a beach, it's quite a beautiful one !!! I wouldn't be agains the idea of spending some days there instead of my office !!
A nice job stiching them, and sooo beautiful colours, well done Tan !
Leonie (8809) 2005-06-16 17:19
Wonderful beach...the round effect of it looks somehow surreal..but is great! Thanks,
PixelTerror (0) 2005-06-17 3:36
Another beautiful overlooking PoV and a good stitching, I like the many curves here, on the shore, on the sand and on the cliff, this makes a very curvy photo. Also the sand provides here a nice warm colored area between sea and cliff.
Have a nice day,

Panoromik fotograflarin cok hosuma gidiyor. Ayri fotolardan olustugu belli bile olmuyor.

Superb photo! Most of all I like the shapes of the gulf and beach -- they are so round that it is almost unbelievable. Colours and shaprness are perfect too -- even the most distant rocks are absolutely shrap. Very well done!

Lanscape is very nice, peaceful. A excellent bearch. Thanks for sharing
john_c (24662) 2005-06-18 1:01
Just simply outstanding, Tan. This is inspiring landscape shooting at its best. The colours and contrast are inspiring, and what an interesting POV. As Nerve states, it resembles a fisheye shot, but there does not appear to be distortion; a great merging of the photos. Very well thought out and rendered. Regards.
jpages (1670) 2005-06-18 6:24
Great view! it really seems a giant shell. The colors are very well captured. The brown sand of the beach contrasts very well surrounded by green and blue. The idea of using the 3 photos creates an impressive composition. I would like to have a bath there!
Good work Tan. Best regards.
premels (2400) 2005-06-19 5:03
Hi Tan, Just a beach ? But what beach ! The emerald colors are very nice and the curves left on the sand create a fisheye composition. Real great perspective. It was well worth the pain of stiching these pic together.
naxius (16685) 2005-06-19 10:16
Even though the stitch of these photograph is not perfect I still find the compostion superb!
This landscape is a paradise..
Very nice colors and look at that sea! Wow..
lucinka (9976) 2005-06-19 14:52
Tan, great wide angle picture. I've been in that area of Ireland myself and I was truelly amazed with that place. Hovewer I was not so fortunate with such a great weather as you. L.

Very nice shot

I felt in love with this place the first time I saw it (in 2000, during a trip in Ireland). Your composition is great and the way you present it is very nice. Congratulations for the light management and for the very dynamic aspect it shows. Many thanks for this somptuous landscape composition.
marieaude (1196) 2005-06-20 10:53
Very beautiful photo and very beautiful place. Great colors. I like the lines in the sand, it looks like a shell with its growing lines. Thanks a lot
Hanssie (10403) 2005-06-20 14:49
Strange landscape with the circle of sand, but how nice are the colours again, great !
gren4 (603) 2005-06-23 12:10
You are getting really nice results from your stitched photos.I love here the perspective and amount of detail crammed into those pixels.I am excited by this and think that I will give it a go soon
donluicu (24724) 2005-06-24 9:47
excellent shot Tan..
Donegal is reaaly great..good work on these shots..well done.
ChrisJ (99100) 2005-06-30 4:17
I like the repetition of the receding tide levels in the sand. The wineglass curve of the bay is tremendous, & color & saturation superb. The only very small flaw I can see, is the sky around the top of the peak, is slightly darker than either side, & perhaps could be lightened to match. Apart from that, perfect! Well done!
mumek (20202) 2005-07-07 18:09
Very well captured and composed scenery with fantastic colours of the water, the sand and the cliff.Again good stitching work. Thanks Tan for posting.
hayu (640) 2005-07-13 11:23
You're right about the stitching, I presume, but over all, it is a wonderful panorama with excellent colours, a gorgeous composition and beautiful subject. Regards, Huub

Hola Tan.
zeca (19762) 2006-04-24 12:35
What a nice seascape, Tan! And you did a nice work with the 3 photos, and after all with the colours, saturations and contrasts! Well done!
tsangclare (130) 2006-05-23 6:51

timleahy (2195) 2006-07-19 18:16
WOW! Amazing shot of this beach, which goes by the name Trabane Strand and also Malinbeg.
Visited there some years ago on a beautiful day (photo here), and the memory stays with me. Your shot encompasses the whole beach nicely with the 28mm lens.
jane-d (154) 2006-12-04 18:13
Just a beach. A just beach! How did you do the stitching? Wonder what the orginal three pictures look like.
MichaelTrezzi (3368) 2007-08-11 14:17
Hi Tan, Beside a wonderful nature and colors, the stitching was done really professionally. Did you held the lens straight horizontally? The distortion at the edge of the picture is nearly unnoticeable. Rgds, Michael
