Dublin's light house Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of Dublin Bay's light houses in the middle of the bay, standing at the end of one of the longest sea walls (harbour walls) of the world. It is perfectly suitable for very nice walks and fresh sea air.. :o)

Hi Leonie, A nice composition to have the pathway leads to the pink lighthouse. The ocean on the side, the peninsula on the left side seams merge to the same point at the lighthouse. A well taken picture with nice contrast and depth. Well done.

I really like this shot. It reminds me alot of the lighthouses Michigan is famous for. Great composition too. The only thing is that the colors are a bit bland. I posted a workshop that has adjusted hue and saturation. I hope you check it out.

A beautiful composition. The brightly coloured lighthouse stands out well against the many blues of the landscape. The off-cetnre angle of the shot leads the eye towards the lighthouse and then encourages it on into the background. The sky is fabulously imposing.

Belles couleurs, je pense que tu peux rajouter un peu de contraste.

This is a very beautiful photo. The only thing that I have to point is the colors, I think that you could have increased a little the saturation. Besides that, this is an excelent work and I just love it ;)

Hi Leonie. You sure have tons of detail in your sky. Nice subject choice with the pink-ish light house. It certainly is unique and photogenic. The only thing I wish for here is more clarity. But your colors are beautiful and strong. Thanks for sharing Leonie!

Hello Leonie,
j'aime bien decouvrir les phares des differents ports du monde...celui ci a une belle couleur pastel qui se demarque tres bien du bleu qui domine ton image. J'aime bien ta prise de vue egalement qui nous invite a s'approcher du phare, c'est bien cadree. J'aurais besoin un peu d'air frais comme dans ton image, il commence a faire bien chaud ici.

Salut Léonie,
un modèle de composition avec ce phare à gauche et la mer au tiers. Le tout est bien coloré. Joli ciel aussi. Juste un peu dommage que tu n'ai pas pu obtenir une profondeur de champ un peu plus importante, afin d'avoir la côte à gauche plus nette. Bien vu en tout cas.

Jolie composition avec une bonne perspective en diagonale grace a la jetee et un beau paysage derriere, je trouve les couleurs un peu palotes, mais je pense que le 1er WS va trop loin, j'ai donc fait ma version.

encore un très beau ciel, mais dis donc tu as toujours ton appareil sur l'épaule... bravo, j'aime beaucoup ce phare qui se détache du fond bleu, et quel bleu, fabuleuses couleurs..
cela me rappelle mon fils lorsqu'il avait 4 ans: il voulait devenir gardien de phare!!!

Lighthouses are always an interesting subject to photograph but at times they can tun out quite bad, which here is not the case, obviously :) Nicely composed with the lighthouse dominating the frame with it's size and colour.

A fine perspective, Leonie. A simple scene, full of interest. The wharf is worn and aged, and the colour of the lighthouse contrasts nicely with the ocean. The sky is full of billowing clouds, and there are good shadows on the water. Well seen and executed. Regards.
